About the game
Lost in Tåkewoiv is a free 3D point & click adventure that runs in your browser. Laura and her calico cat Naomi inherit a cottage on a foggy island off the Norwegian coast, and nobody will say why the lighthouse has been dark since 1987.
Walk around an atmospheric island, talk to its quirky residents, collect clues and solve puzzles over seven days full of humour, fog and secrets. It is a classic adventure in the spirit of the old LucasArts and Sierra games: pick up items, combine them, use them on the world and talk your way through. Play in English or Dutch, on desktop or on your phone.

Yacht Rock, ABBA and the 70s and 80s
If you grew up on the music and movies of the 70s and 80s, this island is for you. The whole game is soaked in smooth Yacht Rock and Scandinavian pop, and it is full of jokes you will recognise.
- Yacht Rock: nods to Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers and Toto, with songs like Danger Zone, Sailing, Harbor Lights and Private Eyes hiding in the story.
- ABBA: a taxi driver, a keyboard player, a ferry gangway and a captain with very familiar first names.
- Movies: gags borrowed lovingly from Airplane!, Top Gun, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future and The Naked Gun.
The game is an affectionate homage and a parody. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the artists or films mentioned.
Meet the cast
Everyone on the island goes by first name only. Here is who you will run into (no spoilers):
- Laura The heroine. Long blond hair, red T-shirt, one very strange inheritance.
- Naomi Laura's calico cat, and a better detective than she looks.
- Kenny A pilot in aviators and a bomber jacket who has been circling the island for decades and is cheerful about it.
- Christopher A gentle sailor who sails in circles in the fog.
- Boz The lighthouse keeper in a yellow jacket. He disappears when you look at him.
- Robbie A Yacht Rock singer from Brooklyn in a white blazer. Everything is fine.
- Ted A record producer with round glasses and a stopwatch.
- Michael The man in the cave under the hill.
- Matthew Rowing to China in an orange life jacket, with a gold hoop earring.
- Daryl & John Two officers in beige raincoats who finish each other's sentences.
- Benny A keyboard player from 1978 in a white satin suit.
- Bjørn The taxi driver, in a royal-blue flared suit and platform boots.
- Frida Red curls, red ferry jacket, runs the gangway of the ferry.
- Agnetha The ferry captain, who steers by singing.
- Sarah Seen at the edge of a room, never quite caught.
